The Southern Light (Aurora Australis) can be viewed all year around, on the other hand, Aurora Borealis is seasonal. The most recommended season for Aurora Australis is May to August. You can see the Aurora Australis in many places in Australia. However, Tasmania is supposed to be the best place to observe them.
